A transvaginal scan that measures cervical length, recommended for women at high risk of preterm birth, including those with multiple pregnancies, a history of preterm birth, uterine abnormalities, or previous cervical surgery. Typically performed during the anomaly scan (20–24 weeks), but for those with prior preterm birth, serial scans may start from 16 weeks for closer monitoring.
